25 Random Things

I got tagged for this little doo-dad on facebook and I have been putting it off for weeks. I decided that I needed a little mental break from reality today and it was actually kinda fun to sit and think about these random things.

Here's my 25 Random Things.

1. I sleep with a heating pad every night.

2. And 4 pillows.

3. I will celebrate 10 years of marriage to my high school sweetheart May 29th. We are still so in love. He is the cheese to my macaroni.

4. All 3 of my children were delivered in the same hospital, in the same room, by the same doctor. One in 2000, one in 2003 and one in 2006.

5. Although I love all of my children with all that is within me, I get sick to my stomach to think of being pregnant or having to deliver another one.

6. After not reading a book for at least 5 years, I have read 7 books since mid December. I'm turning over a new leaf and trying to use those long lost parts of my brain!

7. I have been trying to follow a "Read thru the bible in 1 year" guide for at least 6 years. I still carry the tattered old paper in my bible and check off the days as I complete them. I keep giving up. THIS is my year. I'm gonna do it.

8. I can play Wii bowling in my recliner with my feet propped up and still compete on the scoreboard!

9. I love to go camping. In our camper. I'm not so in love with tent camping. And I wouldn't be so in love with camper camping either if I wasn't married to Mr. Outdoors who takes care of pretty much everything. I do like to be in charge of the food and the clothes. This arangement works
very well for us!

10. I miss Berryville and all my friends very much,(and I think I always will) but I really don't miss living there. I really like living in the "big city". Maybe it's because (see #11)

11. Since 1997, my husband has had a commute of at least 1 hour-1 way every day (with a few exceptions here and there) for work (except for Aug 05-June 06) until this past August when we moved to Springdale. We have spent more time together in the past 6 months than we have in the whole almost 10 years we've been married. I never knew what it could be like to be married to a man who's actually home sometimes! :-) I love it!

12. I knew in my heart that my 3rd child would be a girl before I was even pregnant. God told me so. Jason didn't believe me and wasn't sure about having #3- he relented and gave in to "1 try". It worked! My little princess is 2 1/2 years old.

13. I love blogging. And reading other people's blogs. I'm almost addicted.

14. I do between 20 and 30 loads of laundry a week. Every week. I'm bitter. I hate it. I need to
quit griping about it, but I can't.

15. 2 1/2 years ago, my husband and I started our business on 100% credit/loans. (What 20-somethings couple with 3 children and no hand-outs has the cash to buy multiple trucks, machines, etc out of their pocket? Certainly not us.) There's nothing in this world that we hate more than debt. We have way too much of it. We are on a plan to be completely debt free in 4 years. It's gonna take discipline. And a miracle. If you ask us to dinner and we say no, don't be offended. The budget is strict.

16. If I were to win a large sum of money in a lottery/sweepstakes, I already have every dollar accounted for in my head. I know what I would do with all of it. I have a big, huge "pay it forward" scheme in my head. I think Oprah will want to have me on her show. And I already know what I would say to her. Too many nights when I can't sleep, you say? Yes, indeed.

17. I have a secret desire to home school my children. I could never do this as long as I have to work. There would be no time...

18. Since I started working from home almost 2 years aog, I enjoy being a loaner way too much. I have to be careful not to let myself stay locked in the house because I know it's not good for me. I sometimes get very nervous when I have to be social. But then once I get going, I remember that I enjoy talking to and spending time with grown ups.

19. My kids have never been on a real vacation. Only to visit family and short weekend trips. Those are fun, but I can't wait until I can take them on a fun adventure far from home. Future vacation plans are for snow skiiing in Colorado, Disney World and the beach.

20.I love my car. There's not another car on the road that I would rather have than my own. It has a lot of miles on it-- I hope it will last me a long time.

21. I LOVE to cook. But HATE to clean up the kitchen.

22. I'm a lazy couch potato by nature. I have to make a consicous effort to make myself get up and get things done, go work out, etc.

23. I love to watch almost all sports on tv. I love to watch Sportscenter. I get sad this time of year when I think about football season being over for several months!

24. I love bacon. I could eat it every single day and every single meal. It's a good thing I have some will power.

25. I have never regretted not finishing college. I honestly don't think I ever will.

You should make a list of your 25 Random Things about you. Maybe it'll help people get to know you a little better.

Back to the real world now!

First of all, welcome to the SITStahood! It's a great community of women (and the occasaional man, or BITS too)!

I keep getting tagged on Facebook for this meme, but I've been wimping out and pointing the taggers to my 100th blog post where I did 100 things about me instead. I don't think I could come up with another 25! LOL

I love the "cheese to my macaroni" line! As for your #8, I can't beat my 5.5 year old at Wii Bowling right now, but maybe if I made her sit in a chair with her feet up, I'd stand a chance!! As for #19, our daughter was 5 before we went on our first "real" family vacation (other than short trips to visit family). It was awesome and totally worth the wait! (Disney World, woo-hoo!) And for #24.... I just pulled some bacon out of the freezer to defrost and cook up today. We get it from a local butcher and it is the BEST bacon in the world. Mmmmm, bacon! :D

Cheers!
