Devils Den is our favorite place to go camping. There are several reasons why. It's close. There are full hook-ups, including sewer (which means we can use the potty and water all we want! Can you say nightly shower?! Woo Hoo!) There are so many things to do.
We went down on a Sunday afternoon and stayed until the following Saturday. 3 of those days Jason's parents and his Uncle Bruce and Aunt Jill from Pennsylvania joined us with their campers. We did lots of visiting, ate good food and had lots of fun!
Day 1
Before the rest of the family got there. It was hot. We went to the pool!

Day 2
Family arrived. The guys all played in the 4pm afternoon baseball game.
Rhett

Braden

Sharin' some love between innings.

Uncle Jeff looks like he's trying to take out a camper in the outfield!

Day 3. It was HOT. We went to the pool. Again!
Gracie and Mammaw

Aunt Jill and Braden

Rhett, relaxin' and lookin' fine!

This would be where Rhett gets those good looks from!

Rhett getting ready to go down the slide!

Aunt Jill and Rhett.

Braden coming down the slide!

We hosted a little card party in our camper. It wouldn't be a Kennett Family gathering without a game of Allcers. (Kennetts, did I spell that right?!)

Rhett finally lost his 1st tooth while we were there. We've been trying to get that tooth out for over a week. When Rhett noticed it was gone, he didn't know when it had fallen out or where it was. We searched and searched, but never found it. Good thing the tooth fairy accepted a note of explanation in lieu of the actual tooth!

Later that night a "Killer Moth" invaded our camper and nearly caused Me, Braden and Gracie to have heart attacks. Rhett was sleeping at the time. Thank goodness for brave daddy to save us!

Jason's mom later informed us this was a Luna Moth. I thought for sure we'd discovered some rare prehistoric creature. We'd never seen one before! After getting over being FREAKED OUT, we realized how gorgeous it really was.
Mom and Dad were on their big 30th anniversary trip to the North West US so we were dog sitting my little brother Goober during the camping trip. He liked being a camping dog!

Home Sweet Home! I love our camper!

Here's Jason grilling us THE.BEST.STEAKS.WE'VE.EVER.EATEN.

We went to the Yellow Rock overlook on our last day to use the phone and check messages. While I was on the phone, Braden came to the car, grabbed a Sharpe out of the console and headed back to the overlook. When he came to bring the marker back, I asked him what he was doing and he said he'd just take a picture of it. I gave him my phone and he came back with this.

His daddy didn't even put him up to this. How cute! Of course, he shouldn't have done it, but he saw that the place was covered with similar markings and sentiments and he didn't know any better. I thought it was a super sweet gesture on his part!
Rhett and Gracie shared some snuggling on our last evening.

And Goober took a minute to peek out from under the covers of me and Jason's bed (where he likes to sleep). At this point, I think he was ready to go home too!

There goes another camping trip! Hmmm... Wonder where we'll go next?
