Christmas #4

Next, was Christmas Eve!!

We came home and put out cookies for Santa. For the first time in many years, we didn't bake cookies for him. We figured everyone likes Oreos, so that's what we left for him! They were almost all gone the next morning, so we were right!

As is our tradition, the kids each got to open 1 present before bed. They each got new jammies. Rhett had fallen asleep in the car on the way home and we couldn't get him to wake up. He slept right through opening presents, so we just put him to bed and let him open his jammies the next morning.

While I wrapped the rest of the presents, Daddy spent over an hour trying to get the BIG gift to the house. It was at our shop, which is just a couple miles away. BUT, it was snowing and sleeting outside and it was freezing cold! He had to pull a trailer to get it home, so he decided he'd just take his truck. He went to go start it, but the door was frozen shut.... It was quite a process... but he FINALLY got it taken care of and got the gift secured in the garage.

Wanna see it?

Here it is!
One day Jason was working on a job and saw this sitting in the man's back yard. He said it didn't run and he sold it to him for next to nothing. He and some of the guys that work for us have been working on it ever since and they got it running! It looks almost brand new! The kids are gonna LOVE this! We may need to get some helmets....the thing goes 30 mph! Maybe some kind of safety apparatus that will keep them from going too fast... that would probably be a better idea!

And all the gifts were wrapped and under the tree. Bring on Christmas!!
