Been on the wait list for 20 months as of today.
Maybe I'll answer a question that we've been getting lately.
"Are y'all still adopting?"
The answer is yes.
I guess that's about all I can really say about this topic, as there aren't really updates to share.
The one thing I do know is that we are about 5.5 weeks behind the longest waiting family (waiting for a single child).
The past several months there's been anywhere from 1-3 families who have gotten their referrals per month.
While I hope it's tomorrow, realistically I am prepared to wait several more months.
Beyond that, if we are still waiting, you might find me in a straight jacket somewhere :)

Praying for you, friend. I know it sucks and while I didn't have to wait nearly as long as you have so far (we got M's referral at 16 months total and 13 months when you take out our season of loss), I know that the pain of waiting is real and incredibly difficult. I pray that God would embrace you and hold you in His peace and rest while you are in adoption-purgatory....
I'm sorry you've had to wait for so long. God is preparing the perfect little girl for your family and I can't wait to meet her! Praying it is soon!!
