I hit the 50% off sale on arts and crafts at Hobby Lobby last week. So, I bought a few things for the kids to work on. They have been suffering from severe boredom while I've been working during the day.
I bought masks, feathers and sequins for them to make Mardi Gras masks.
Beginning the craft:
I went back to my office to work while they crafted. Not one of my most brilliant plans.
And the fun lasted about 10 minutes. Braden was done with his. Rhett was bored to death and said he didn't want to do it, so he didn't put one single embellishment on his mask.
Gracie had a ball.
And made a mess.
Big Surprise.
I'm working away, and I hear one of the boys say, "Mooommmm.... um... you might wanna come look at this...."
This is never a good sign.
The glue had already dried to the table.
I didn't take a picture of the plethora of feathers and sequins on the floor.
She filled up her new umbrella with feathers and took them outside to play with.
I didn't either... but I do now!!
I guess I will have to make time to do craft time WITH them from now on!
