This past weekend, we pulled the camper up to Branson for the weekend to enjoy some family time at Silver Dollar City.
On Saturday, we were there about 30 minutes after the park opened and we stayed for the show, so we had a long (but fun!) 12 hour day.
First on the agenda: The Teacups.
When mom and I took the kids week before last, I rode 2 of the "round and round" rides with the kids and I almost lost my lunch. There was no way I could do the teacups. Gracie was very disappointed, but I promised her it would be the first thing we did the next time. I kept my promise!!
"Hi" (Uncle Jeff, she's wearing her Hawaii shirt!!)
We were having a great time back at Geyser Gulch when the second of three rain storms of the day popped up. They made us evacuate the area in case of lightning... and we got drenched trying to find cover.
We ended up in the toy store.
Here's Sissy trying on a pirate hat.
A Classic.
If you go to SDC and don't get a picture like this at some point in your lifetime, you're missing out. It's just something you have to do.
The Boys (Uncle Jeff, like the shirts?!)
(How do you like that "little" stain on his brand new white shirt. I know... it's my own fault for allowing him to wear a white shirt to an amusement park. I take the blame. Awesome. But I wanted them to match in their new Hawaii shirts!)
Braden's been really into magic tricks lately, so he was so excited he got picked to go up and help the magician.
The guys wanted to ride the Plunge and this was our last ride of the day before they closed the rides. Braden slipped in some water and hurt his leg, so he ended up passing on this ride.

And right after they came down the big hill. I missed their faces!
It was Rhett's first time on the Plunge and he LOVED it. He must be a thrill seeker by nature because I didn't have the guts to ride that ride until I was much older than him when I was a kid!

Come back tomorrow for pictures from Sunday!
